Bi-Fold Door

The Bi-Fold Clear Security Door is a robust, low-maintenance, and highly durable alternative to the traditional drop-down shutter — engineered to secure wide or curved openings without compromising on aesthetics or visual merchandising. Its panels are constructed from premium grade UV-coated, solid clear polycarbonate with a nominal face width of 230mm and ±2.0mm thickness, interlocking into heavy-duty single-hinged extruded aluminium midrail sections fitted with specially designed end locks for smooth, seamless sliding along the top track. For clients seeking a different aesthetic, perforated panel inserts with ±5.0mm diameter pin-holes are also available, subject to a maximum opening height of 3,800mm.

The system glides effortlessly on heavy-duty high grade nylon guide-rollers inlaid with stainless steel ball bearings, mounted at the mid-point of each panel to minimise lateral movement and ensure a quiet, smooth manual hand-pull operation. The top track is custom-fabricated from ±1.7mm thick Natural Anodised U-channel profiles with a ±10.0mm thick base for rigidity, and can be contoured to follow curved or irregular openings — offering exceptional architectural freedom for retail and commercial spaces. When fully open, the folded panels occupy a minimal footprint of just 275mm per panel at one end, allowing creative concealment or seamless integration with the surrounding design.

Security is delivered through a flush bolt locking system comprising a main lock with key access from both inside and outside, complemented by twist-locks at fixed intervals that operate only from within the enclosure — providing layered protection and complete peace of mind. The standard finish is Natural Anodised aluminium, with optional powder-coat colours from the “Oxyplast” range available to complement any interior.
